California High School Basketball - Silver Valley can't hold off Academy for Academic Excellence

The Academy for Academic Excellence Knights basketball team scored 28 points and held the host Silver Valley Trojans to 23 in the Knights non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Knights now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hesperia Christian for a Cross Valley contest on Friday, January 12. Academy for Academic Excellence will battle a Patriots team coming off a 51-31 league win over Riverside Prep (Oro Grande, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 9-4.

The Trojans (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Academy of Careers & Exploration (Helendale, CA). The Eagle enter the Agape contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Academy of Careers & Exploration was nudged by Excelsior Charter (Victorville, CA), 38-30, in a league contest.
