In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Apponequet Regional Lakers (Lakeville, MA) basketball squad edged the visiting Middleborough Sachems (Middleborough, MA), by a margin of 50-43.
The Lakers (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Old Rochester Regional (Mattapoisett, MA). The Bulldogs go into the South Coast outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, Old Rochester Regional held off Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA), 53-35, in a league outing.
The Sachems now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Norwell for a South Shore outing on Friday, January 12.
