The Ayer Shirley Panthers basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons to 47 in the Panthers non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Panthers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bromfield for a Midland-Wachusett D contest on Friday, January 12.

The Gryphons (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Shawsheen Valley Tech (Billerica, MA). The Rams come into the Commonwealth - Upper contest with a 1-1 record.
