The Holy Names Monarchs (Oakland, CA) basketball felled the host Cristo Rey De La Salle Mustangs (Oakland, CA), 30-21 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Monarchs (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Making Waves Academy (Richmond, CA). The Marlins go into the Bay Counties - General test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Making Waves Academy was beaten by Contra Costa Christian (Walnut Creek, CA), 69-43, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Emery for a non-league test on Friday, January 19.
