Missouri High School Basketball - Kirkwood nips Fort Zumwalt South

Kirkwood Pioneers (Kirkwood, MO) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs (St. Peters, MO), 37-34 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Kirkwood upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Webster Groves (Webster Groves, MO) to play the Statesmen in a Freelance bout on Friday, January 12. The Statesmen come into the bout with a record of 6-4.
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Fort Zumwalt East (St. Peters, MO) in a Gateway - Central bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Fort Zumwalt South will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The come into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 48-43 league win over Washington (Washington, MO).
