The Jefferson J-Hawks basketball team (Rockford, IL), dropped 65-49 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL)
The Pretzels now possess a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Geneseo for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 13. Freeport will confront a Maple Leafs team coming off a 48-43 league loss to Moline (Moline, IL). The Maple Leafs record now stands at 6-12.
The J-Hawks (8-13) will now prepare for their battle against Belvidere (Belvidere, IL). The Bucs come into the Northern Illinois 10 battle with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Belvidere was defeated by Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL), 53-26, in a league contest.
