The Union Rockets basketball team (Modoc, IN), was nudged 42-36 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN)

The Golden Bears now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Muncie Central for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 11. Monroe Central will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 59-25 league loss to Lafayette Jefferson (Lafayette, IN). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-13.

The Rockets (5-10) will now prepare for their battle against Hagerstown (Hagerstown, IN). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 0-16 record.
