Sehome Mariners (Bellingham, WA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA), 52-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Sehome upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Mariners travel to Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA) to play the Cubs in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Saturday, January 13. The Cubs go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Sedro-Woolley lost 58-35 in their recent league bout against Lakewood (Arlington, WA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Oak Harbor Wildcats (Oak Harbor, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Friday, January 12. Mount Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 49-16 league win over Bellingham (Bellingham, WA).
