The Mt. Hebron Vikings basketball team (Ellicott City, MD), was nudged 39-34 in Wednesday's league battle with the host River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD)

The Hawks now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oakland Mills for a Howard County battle on Friday, January 12. River Hill will confront a Scorpions team coming off a 56-48 league win over Long Reach (Columbia, MD). The Scorpions record now stands at 6-2.

The Vikings (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Atholton (Columbia, MD). The Raiders go into the Howard County outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, Atholton held off Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD), 53-28, in a league outing.
