University Titans (Orange City, FL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL), 39-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, University upgrades its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Titans travel to DeLand (DeLand, FL) to play the Bulldogs in a bout on Thursday, January 11. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 4-6. DeLand won 59-38 in their recent non-league bout against Vanguard (Ocala, FL)

Next up, the Pirates play the San Jose Prep Storm (Jacksonville, FL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Matanzas will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Storm come into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 67-45 non-league win over Atlantic Coast (Jacksonville, FL).
