The Austin Mustangs basketball squad (Houston, TX), was crushed 86-33 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Stafford Spartans (Stafford, TX)
With the victory, Stafford advances its record to 25-0 on the year. The Spartans host Fort Bend Willowridge (Houston, TX) to meet the Eagles in a 4A Region III District 21 battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 4-13.
The Mustangs now own a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison for a 5A Region III District 21 battle on Wednesday, January 15. Austin will meet a Marlins squad coming off a 88-46 league win over Westbury (Houston, TX). The Marlins record now stands at 8-8.
