The Lincoln Lynx (Council Bluffs, IA) basketball edged the visiting Bellevue West Thunderbirds (Bellevue, NE), 77-70 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Lynx now possess a 8-0 record. They play next when they host Sioux City East for a Missouri River bout on Tuesday, January 14. Lincoln will play a Black Raiders team coming off a 80-40 non-league win over South Sioux City (South Sioux City, NE). The Black Raiders record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Bellevue West falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Bryan (Omaha, NE) to play the Bears in a A District 3 bout on Thursday, January 16. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-11. Bryan lost 94-38 in their recent league bout against Westview (Omaha, NE)
