In Friday's non-league test, the Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE) basketball squad got by the host Bennington Badgers (Bennington, NE), by a score of 63-62.

Next, the Bearcats encounter the Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 11. Scottsbluff will attempt to improve on its 11-1 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 7-2 record after their 61-59 non-league win over Waverly (Waverly, NE).
