The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bishop Shanahan Eagles (Downingtown, PA) and the visiting Upper Merion Area Vikings (King of Prussia, PA), observed Bishop Shanahan's basketball team overcome Upper Merion Area by a score of 72-56.

The Eagles (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Coatesville (Coatesville, PA). The Red Raiders come into the Ches-Mont - National challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Coatesville defeated Downingtown East (Exton, PA), 70-57, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds (Bensalem, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Upper Merion Area will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record.
