The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the West Branch Bears (West Branch, IA) and the visiting Camanche Indians (Camanche, IA), observed West Branch's basketball team overwhelm Camanche by a margin of 72-51.

The Bears (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilton (Wilton, IA). The Beavers come into the River Valley challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Wilton was trounced by Anamosa (Anamosa, IA), 81-58, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Maquoketa Cardinals (Maquoketa, IA) in a River Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Camanche will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 81-80 league win over Bellevue (Bellevue, IA).
