The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Chisholm Bluestreaks (Chisholm, MN) and the host Mesabi East Giants (Aurora, MN), observed Chisholm's basketball team knock off Mesabi East by a score of 62-50.

The Bluestreaks (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against South Ridge (Culver, MN). The Panthers come into the A Section 7 challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, South Ridge dropped by Two Harbors (Two Harbors, MN), 71-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Giants battle the Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans (Nashwauk, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Mesabi East will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 76-61 non-league loss to Ely (Ely, MN).
