California High School Basketball - Leland holds off Evergreen Valley

The Leland Chargers basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Evergreen Valley Cougars to 50 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Chargers now have a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Silver Creek for a Blossom Valley - Santa Teresa West game on Wednesday, January 15. Leland will confront a Raiders team coming off a 86-59 non-league win over James Lick (San Jose, CA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Evergreen Valley falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Oak Grove (San Jose, CA) to confront the Eagles in a Blossom Valley - Santa Teresa East game on Wednesday, January 15. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 5-8. Oak Grove lost 60-40 in their recent non-league game against Prospect (Saratoga, CA)
