The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA) and the visiting Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA), observed Wahlert's basketball team overwhelm Jefferson by a margin of 77-47.

The Golden Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against West Delaware (Manchester, IA). The Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, West Delaware was trounced by Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA), 61-57, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Jefferson will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 60-30 league loss to Ames (Ames, IA).
