In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Fort Morgan Mustangs basketball squad scored a decisive 77-32 victory over the Thornton Trojans.
With the victory, Fort Morgan advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Mustangs host Eaton (Eaton, CO) to meet the Reds in a battle on Thursday, January 16. The Reds enter the battle with a record of 2-0.
The Trojans now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Adams City for a battle on Tuesday, January 14. Thornton will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 61-53 non-league loss to Thomas Jefferson (Denver, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 0-5.
