In Friday's non-league test, the Powder Valley Badgers (North Powder, OR) basketball squad defeated the host Prairie City/Burnt River (Prairie City, OR), by a score of 47-35.

Next, the Badgers clash with the Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon test, on Thursday, January 16. Powder Valley will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 6-6 record after their 52-15 league loss to Union (Union, OR).

The (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Crane (Crane, OR). The Mustangs come into the 1A High Desert test with a 10-3 record. In their last test, Crane overcame Liberty Charter (Nampa, ID), 59-24, in a non-league test.
