Nebraska High School Basketball - Shelby-Rising City can't hold off Riverside

Riverside Chargers (Cedar Rapids, NE) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE), 41-35 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Riverside advances its record to 2-10 on the year. The Chargers host Burwell (Burwell, NE) to face the Longhorns in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. The Longhorns enter the match with a record of 7-5. Burwell lost 73-32 in their recent non-league match against Archangels Catholic (Humphrey, NE)

The Huskies now own a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Meridian for a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. Shelby-Rising City will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 51-42 non-league loss to McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-7.
