New Mexico High School Basketball - St. Pius X thwarts Robertson

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Robertson Cardinals (Las Vegas, NM), observed St. Pius X's basketball team knock off Robertson by a score of 50-34.
The Sartans (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Chargers come into the non-league challenge with a 10-4 record. In their last challenge, Albuquerque Academy prevailed over St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM), 48-37, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Robertson will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 73-22 non-league loss to West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM).
