In Friday's non-league contest, the host Sandhills/Thedford Knights basketball team scored a big 51-19 win over the Sutherland Sailors.

The Knights (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Anselmo-Merna (Merna, NE). The Coyotes come into the D2 District 7 contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Anselmo-Merna smashed Chambers/Wheeler Central (Chambers, NE), 66-33, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Sailors battle the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Sutherland will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record.
