In Friday's non-league outing, the host Carlsbad Lancers soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 win over the Pacific Ridge Firebirds.

The Lancers (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against Oceanside (Oceanside, CA). The Pirates enter the Coastal (NCC) outing with a 8-0 record. In their last outing, Oceanside tipped Vista (Vista, CA), 4-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Firebirds confront the Orange Glen Patriots (Escondido, CA) in a Coastal outing, on Wednesday, January 15. Pacific Ridge will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Patriots enter the outing with a 5-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Kearny (San Diego, CA).
