Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL) and the visiting Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL), saw Thornton's basketball squad knock off Homewood-Flossmoor by a count of 77-61.
With the victory, Thornton upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Thornridge (Dolton, IL) to play the Falcons in a Southland challenge on Wednesday, January 12. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Thornridge lost 86-81 in their recent league challenge against Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL)
Next up, the Vikings play the Bolingbrook Raiders (Bolingbrook, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban - Blue challenge, on Friday, January 14. Homewood-Flossmoor will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 57-44 non-league loss to Oswego East (Oswego, IL).
