In Tuesday's league match, the visiting South Williamsport Mountaineers basketball team scored a tight 46-40 triumph over the Sullivan County Griffins.
In their next game, the Mountaineers meet the Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA) in a Midd-Penn match, on Friday, January 14. South Williamsport will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Rangers enter the match with a 8-3 record after their 58-20 league win over Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA).
With the defeat, Sullivan County moves to 3-4 on the year. The Griffins travel to Bucktail (Farwell, PA) to meet the Bucks in a Midd-Penn match on Friday, January 14. The Bucks enter the match with a record of 3-8.
