North Carolina High School Basketball - Statesville ripped by Carson

The Carson Cougars basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Statesville Greyhounds to 49 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Cougars now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Cabarrus for a 3A Conference 48 contest on Friday, January 13. Carson will battle a Vikings team coming off a 95-43 league win over West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 16-0.
The Greyhounds (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Indians enter the 3A Conference 51 bout with a 6-9 record. In their last bout, St. Stephens was crushed by East Lincoln (Denver, NC), 63-49, in a league bout.
