With the victory, HCYA upgrades its record to 11-10 on the campaign. The travel to St. John's (Houston, TX) to play the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Mavericks come into the bout with a record of 8-15. St. John's lost 61-59 in their recent league bout against Cooper (The Woodlands, TX)

Next up, the Vikings play the Central Catholic Buttons (San Antonio, TX) in a TAPPS 6A District 2 bout, on Friday, January 13. Village will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Buttons come into the bout with a 17-6 record after their 77-71 league loss to Antonian Prep (San Antonio, TX).
