New York High School Basketball - Schoharie knocked off by Mayfield

The Mayfield Panthers basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Schoharie Indians to 44 in the Panthers league triumph on Wednesday.
The Panthers now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Plain for a non-league contest on Friday, January 13. Mayfield will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 55-43 league win over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (St. Johnsville, NY). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 3-6.
The Indians (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Berne-Knox-Westerlo (Berne, NY). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Berne-Knox-Westerlo was defeated by Fonda-Fultonville (Fonda, NY), 57-37, in a league contest.
