Virginia High School Basketball - Meridian thwarts Alexandria City

The Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA) basketball knocked off the host Alexandria City Titans (Alexandria, VA), 41-25 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Warren County (Front Royal, VA). The Wildcats go into the Northwestern test with a 1-11 record. In their last test, Warren County went down by Liberty (Bealeton, VA), 53-49, in a league test.
The Titans now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Woodson for a District 4 test on Thursday, January 12. Alexandria City will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 58-41 league loss to Lake Braddock (Burke, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-8.
