Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Alleman Pioneers (Rock Island, IL) and the visiting Orion Chargers (Orion, IL), saw Alleman's basketball squad wallop Orion by a tally of 48-13.

With the victory, Alleman improves its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Sterling (Sterling, IL) to confront the Golden Warriors in a Western Big 6 challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Golden Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-17. Sterling lost 40-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastland (Lanark, IL)

Next up, the Chargers confront the Morrison Mustangs (Morrison, IL) in a Three Rivers - West challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Orion will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 61-29 non-league win over Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL).
