The Independence basketball team (Ashburn, VA), was toppled 47-36 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Freedom Eagles (South Riding, VA)
The Eagles now possess a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to John Champe for a Cedar Run battle on Friday, January 13. Freedom will confront a Knights team coming off a 50-37 non-league loss to Potomac Falls (Sterling, VA). The Knights record now stands at 1-10.
The (1-10) will now prepare for their battle against Stone Bridge (Ashburn, VA). The Bulldogs come into the Potomac battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Stone Bridge beat Broad Run (Ashburn, VA), 52-46, in a non-league battle.
