Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hudson Explorers (Hudson, OH), 59-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mentor upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Strongsville (Strongsville, OH) to play the Mustangs in a Greater Cleveland bout on Saturday, January 14. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Strongsville won 52-35 in their recent non-league bout against Hathaway Brown (Shaker Heights, OH)

Next up, the Explorers play the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs (Stow, OH) in a Suburban - National bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Hudson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record.
