In Wednesday's non-league outing, the North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA), by a margin of 51-22.
The Cougars (6-8) will now prepare for their outing against Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA). The Indians go into the Western Pennsylvania - Northern outing with a 5-6 record. In their last outing, Conemaugh Township smashed Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA), 36-32, in a league outing.
The Rams now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Mt. Pleasant for a WPIAL 3A 3 outing on Thursday, January 12. Ligonier Valley will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 67-34 league loss to Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 9-4.
