Piketon Redstreaks (Piketon, OH) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Logan Elm Braves (Circleville, OH), 54-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Piketon upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Redstreaks host Southeastern (Chillicothe, OH) to play the Panthers in a Scioto Valley bout on Friday, January 13. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 4-8. Southeastern lost 48-46 in their recent league bout against Adena (Frankfort, OH)

Next up, the Braves play the Circleville Tigers (Circleville, OH) in a Mid-State - Buckeye bout, on Saturday, January 14. Logan Elm will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 45-40 league win over Fairfield Union (Lancaster, OH).
