In Wednesday's non-league game, the Salpointe Catholic Lancers (Tucson, AZ) soccer squad overwhelmed the host Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ), by a final score of 8-0.
The Lancers (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Rincon/University (Tucson, AZ). The Rangers go into the non-league game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Rincon/University was overwhelmed by Ironwood Ridge (Tucson, AZ), 7-0, in a non-league test.
With the loss, Sunnyside drops to 9-2 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Marana (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Tigers in a 6A South test on Wednesday, January 18. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 2-6. Marana lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Catalina Foothills (Tucson, AZ)
