Louisiana High School Basketball - Briarfield Academy edges Sharkey Issaquena Academy

The Briarfield Academy Rebels (Lake Providence, LA) basketball nipped the visiting Sharkey Issaquena Academy Confederates (Rolling Fork, MS), 43-36 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Rebels (12-1) will now prepare for their test against Central School (Grand Cane, LA). The Pioneers go into the MAIS 2A District 4 test with a 1-10 record. In their last test, Central School got by Mount Olive Christian (Athens, LA), 68-21, in a non-league test.
The Confederates now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Hebron Christian for a MAIS 2A District 2 test on Friday, January 12.
