The Elwood Panthers basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting GEO Next Generation Eagles to 20 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexandria-Monroe for a Central Indiana contest on Friday, January 12. Elwood will battle a Tigers team coming off a 57-50 league win over Elwood (Elwood, IN). The Tigers record now stands at 6-5.

The Eagles (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Thrival Indy Academy (Indianapolis, IN). The Aviators enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Thrival Indy Academy was routed by Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats (Indianapolis, IN), 90-44, in a non-league contest.
