The Shepard Astros basketball team (Palos Heights, IL), was overwhelmed 66-35 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL)

The Hawks now possess a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverside-Brookfield for a non-league battle on Monday, January 15. Hillcrest will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-64 non-league win over Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-2.

The Astros (4-13) will now prepare for their battle against Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 5-12 record.
