The Liberty Preparatory Christian Patriots basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Statesville Christian Lions to 35 in the Patriots non-league victory on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gospel Light Christian for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Liberty Preparatory Christian will battle a team coming off a 46-43 non-league loss to Alamance Christian (Graham, NC). The record now stands at 10-4.

The Lions (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Salem Baptist Christian (Winston-Salem, NC). The Vikings come into the NCISAA Foothills contest with a 0-15 record. In their last contest, Salem Baptist Christian was routed by University Christian (Hickory, NC), 49-35, in a league contest.
