Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Oak Forest Bengals (Oak Forest, IL), 52-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Thornton Fractional South upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Red Wolves travel to Sterling (Sterling, IL) to play the Golden Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Golden Warriors go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Sterling won 76-41 in their recent league bout against Geneseo (Geneseo, IL)

Next up, the Bengals play the Oak Lawn Spartans (Oak Lawn, IL) in a South Suburban bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Oak Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 49-43 league win over Richards (Oak Lawn, IL).
