The PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans to 35 in the Bluejays non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bluejays now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calhoun for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 13. PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central will meet a Warriors team coming off a 51-39 non-league loss to Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 12-5.

The Trojans (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Hornets enter the Western Illinois Valley contest with a 3-13 record. In their last contest, Brown County was outscored by Carlinville (Carlinville, IL), 44-33, in a non-league contest.
