Maryland High School Basketball - Riverdale Baptist trounces Springdale Prep

January 11, 2024: New Windsor, MD 21776

The Riverdale Baptist Crusaders (Upper Marlboro, MD) basketball crushed the host Springdale Prep Lions (New Windsor, MD), 83-55 in Thursday's league test.

The Crusaders (16-8) will now prepare for their test against Sidwell Friends (Washington, DC). The Quakers go into the non-league test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Sidwell Friends walloped St. Andrew's Episcopal (Potomac, MD), 60-38, in a non-league test.

The Lions now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Evergreen Christian for a Freelance test on Tuesday, January 16. Springdale Prep will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 84-71 non-league win over Saint John Paul the Great Catholic (Dumfries, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 14-5.
