The Spruce Mountain Phoenix basketball team (Jay, ME), was nudged 52-46 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Yarmouth Clippers (Yarmouth, ME)
The Clippers now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cape Elizabeth for a B South battle on Saturday, January 13. Yarmouth will confront a Capers team coming off a 84-76 league win over Poland (Poland, ME). The Capers record now stands at 2-6.
The Phoenix (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Dirigo (Dixfield, ME). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 6-1 record.
