The Portsmouth Patriots basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Barrington Eagles to 33 in the Patriots non-league victory on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woonsocket for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 13. Portsmouth will battle a Villa Novans team coming off a 51-19 non-league loss to North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Villa Novans record now stands at 1-2.

The Eagles (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI). The Huskies come into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Mt. Hope was routed by Tolman (Pawtucket, RI), 51-37, in a non-league contest.
