Central Knights (Providence, RI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI), 81-67 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Knights host Cranston East (Cranston, RI) to play the Thunderbolts in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Thunderbolts go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Cranston East won 65-45 in their recent non-league bout against La Salle Academy (Providence, RI)

Next up, the Clippers play the Bishop Hendricken Hawks (Warwick, RI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Cumberland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 58-35 non-league win over East Providence (East Providence, RI).
