The Alhambra Lions basketball team (Phoenix, AZ), was overwhelmed 53-27 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ)

The Hawks now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Luis for a 6A Desert Southwest battle on Friday, January 12. Gila Ridge will confront a Sidewinders team coming off a 70-10 non-league win over Antelope (Wellton, AZ). The Sidewinders record now stands at 4-5.

The Lions now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Camelback for a 6A Metro outing on Friday, January 12. Alhambra will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 74-23 non-league loss to Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ). The Spartans record now stands at 2-10.
