In Thursday's non-league outing, the Heritage Academy Gateway Heroes (Queen Creek, AZ) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting ASU Prep Sun Devils (Phoenix, AZ), by a count of 42-6.

The Heroes (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against East Valley Athletes for Christ (Mesa, AZ). The Eagles go into the Canyon Division 2 - Sahuaro outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, East Valley Athletes for Christ smashed Heritage Academy (Maricopa, AZ), 50-16, in a non-league outing.

The Sun Devils now hold a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Glenview College Prep for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 17. ASU Prep will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 107-17 non-league loss to Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way (Buckeye, AZ). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-8.
