Kentucky High School Basketball - Bluegrass United nudges Garrard County

January 11, 2024: Lancaster, KY 40444

Bluegrass United Bluehawks (Lexington, KY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY), 47-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bluegrass United upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Bluehawks host Richmond HomeSchool (Richmond, KY) to clash with the Guardians in a Ohio River HomeSchool bout on Saturday, January 13. The Guardians go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Richmond HomeSchool lost 72-36 in their recent league bout against Christian Educational Consortium (Louisville, KY)

Next up, the Golden Lions clash with the Lexington Catholic Knights (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Garrard County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record.
