Viburnum Blue Jays (Viburnum, MO) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Bourbon War Hawks (Bourbon, MO), 39-25 in a league bout.

With the victory, Viburnum upgrades its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Blue Jays host Eagle Ridge Christian (Cape Girardeau, MO) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Eagle Ridge Christian won 34-32 in their recent non-league bout against North County Christian (Ferguson, MO)

Next up, the War Hawks play the Principia Panthers (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Bourbon will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record.
